The fountain should be installed on a flat, solid, and level base to ensure proper operation and safety. For fountains with basins, place on 1”–2” of sand over a concrete pad to reduce stress cracks and assist with leveling. Pedestal-style fountains should always be installed on a stable foundation to prevent settling or tilting. A leveled fountain pad is required to maintain warranty coverage, as the manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by improper installation or ground settling.
